Call for Submissions

The Film/Music Explosion! is celebrating another year as part of the $100 Film Festival. This successful program pairs three musicians/ bands and three filmmakers to make a short film on Super 8mm based on music. The films premiere with live soundtracks by the artists during the $100 Film Festival. Musicians:

• Submit one song
• Inclide a bio/description of your band
• You must be a local(ish) Alberta musician that is able to be in town for the performance

Filmmakers:

  • Deadline for submissions of interest: Dec 1, 2020
• When the music is compiled, you will listen to them all, choose a song and create a short (couple paragraphs) proposal of your film
  • Deadline for proposals: Dec 15, 2020
• A jury will select the top three proposals based on creativity and ability to complete the film
  • Deadline for finished films: Mar 1-3, 2012
